Now following are four things you can try to solve the issue.
Please try 1-3 first and see if the problem is solved. If not please also try No.4: 

1. Do a Purge Recovery
 a) Click on the Windows Start button
 b) Select All Programs
 c) Select the BERNINA Embroidery Software 9 folder
 d) Select Purge Recovery
 e) Place a check in front of all options that are not grayed out
 f)  Click OK
 
2. Do a Revert
 a) Click on the Windows Start button
 b) Select All Programs
 c) Select the BERNINA Embroidery Software 9 folder
 d) Select Revert
 e) Place a check in front of all options that are not grayed out
 f)  Click OK


 
3. Run the software as administrator
 a) rightclick on the V9 desktop icon and open "Properties"
 b) go to the tab "Compatability"
 c) put the checkmark at "Run this program as an adminitrator" and click "apply" and "ok"


 
4. Repair Microsoft Visual C++
 a)Press Windows key (on keyboard) + R --> "Run" opens
 b) type in "appwiz.cpl" and hit enter  --> Programs and Features opens 
 c) In the list look for all entries of "Microsoft Visual C++" do a right click on them and click on modfy
 d) in the window now opening click on repair and let it run
     --> repeat that step for every Microsoft Visual C++ entry in the list. 
e) restart the computer
