Optional:

1. Uninstall any previous versions of the BERNINA Embroidery Software, if present.
   Note:The V9 Full Version allows you to keep any previous versions installed.
2. Uninstall BERNINA Communications Service, if present.
3. If COREL is installed, uninstall it.
4. Reboot

Required:

6. Log on to Windows as ADMINISTRATOR
7. TURN OFF All firewalls and antivirus software running on the Windows platform (See also Make sure Control folder access is turned off.pdf).
8. Check if the latest Windows updates have been installed (See How_to_check_latest_Windows_Updates.pdf).
9. Go to User Accounts in Control Panel and move the slider all the way down to the bottom.  **When installation is finished move the slide back to the default setting.
10. From the V9 Installation stick, locate the Setup.exe file, right click on the file and select Run as Administrator. Once the installation is finished, you will be asked to restart your computer.
11. After rebooting computer click on the Green Corel SE icon to register with Corel.
12. Start the V9 software and Activate it. Once it has finished activating, you will get a popup prompting you to link Corel SE to the software. You must click on Install link or Art Canvas will not work.
13. Installation is complete.

TURN ON YOUR ANTIVIRUS, FIREWALL SOFTWARE & UAC SETTINGS.
